Favourites #5 | May

DSCF2203Hey there my lovelies,

Already MAY … my lawd this month just flew by, much faster than the other months … probably because of all the madness of Malta Fashion week and awards.  But hey I survived that and for this month’s favourites I bring you the most used items during fashion week ….. enjoy 🙂

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
I always thought that this is a really great palette for any beginner who is interested in learning to contour. That being said, I must admit that I did struggle with getting the hang of it but after that initial phase – this palette is all I have been using for contouring.

All six pans are of superior formula. The wide variety of shades is suitable for most skin tones with the exception of probably those with extremely light or dark skin. With regards to the highlight shades they are fantastic and I like that there is a shimmer one too. I especially love Banana as its yellow undertones mask virtually any redness and is perfect for setting your under eye concealer. Each shade is very pigmented and applies smoothly. Slightly on the powdery side I suggest knocking off any excess before applying it to your face to make sure there are no fallouts.

BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Muse

I do not own many BH Cosmetics products in fact I only have the Carli Bybel palette so when a local blogger The Beauty Pixie was running these small giveaway, I was really happy I managed to win one of the BH Cosmetics liquid lipstick in the most intriguing shade ever Muse and ever since it landed in my mailbox a couple of week ago, I have been obsessed with it to say the least.

Anyway, a bit of deets on the BH Cosmetics Liquid lipsticks they are infused with Vitamin E that make it set really matte. I only need to apply just one coat and it comes off super opaque – no extra coats needed! It doesn’t set as fast as other liquid lipsticks (needs at least 5 minutes), but that certainly helps if you need to clean up the lines.  The texture is really nice too and feels like nothing on the lips, doesn’t crack up, and it’s long lasting. As I said the colour I got is Muse it’s a cool-toned liquid lipstick with grey undertones which I love.

The lipsticks swatch slightly darker than what it looks like in the tube, so bear that in mind when you’re trying to choose which shade to buy.

Glamourous Accessories necklaces
Of course I love my necklaces, statement or otherwise and when I came across the Facebook page of Glamourous Accessories I was in love with the variety they had to offer and at very good price tag and when I contacted them as I need some new accessories for fashion week, they were really helpful.  I could not choose just one as I love them all and hence them being showcased in this months faves.

Red Lace ups available at Matstar
Last but by far not the least these are my new lace ups which I got for a specific out I had in mind for fashion week.  Needless to say I loved this little killer and of course you will be seeing me wearing it again and again over the coming days.

So my lovelies, any faves you would like to share?

Until next time,
