Hey there my lovelies,
Welcome back to my Blog! Last exhibition for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta came by the hands of Nathan Micallef, who fresh from last year’s win for Best New Designer award, people who like me witness his debut collection we were all curious too see what he had up his sleeve and if he would impress like he did the first time.
Well, my first impression was shocking, but judging by the shirring in the big crowd that was watching his interactive exhibition I guess his collection was liked. I take it the Really not Real collection portrays Nathan’s wish to question what is really normal in life and brought them together in this collection by tapping on different silhouettes and textures.
Somehow of a fun and quirky collection, of a diverse colour palette varying from white to solver to touches of blues and purple. I enjoyed that this presentation included a bit more interacting with the public, which was different set up from the other presentations we saw this week.
Well done Nathan, even not what I would go for, but I did like that he portrayed a women who is not scared to be different!
