Hey there my lovelies,
Welcome back to my Blog!
So last Saturday I was invited to celebrate with entrepreneurs and boss ladies Marlene Vassallo and Bernice Catania their baby first anniversary and by baby I do mean their salon Bliss Hair and Makeup situated in Poala. Their baby turned one and I am sure that, they will tell you it’s still hard to believe. Like any other dream, envisaging your dream is huge deal and ONE thing is for your sure and that is you just have to make it happen.
It eventually happens somewhere amidst years of mental visualising and daydreams over nights of asking yourselves all the inevitable questions – Can I really do it? Can I create something so amazing? Are we really ready? And the questions go on forever. Long story short, then comes that day that you bam, take the plunge and you say to yourself it’s now or never and before you know it you throw yourselves into a long and sometimes difficult labour, gratefully collecting encouragement from your loved ones along the way, until finally their dream was born 16th March 2017 Bliss hair and Makeup opened it’s doors.
From the get-go Marlene and Bernice knew that they had to build more than just a place for people to get their hair done. It is a know fact, that at the hairdresser one can relax and let go whilst you let your trusted hair stylist do their magic on you. This treatment is found at Bliss, both Marlene and Bernice were inclined at creating something so much more valuable: a community. A place where they have the freedom to pursue endless creativity and the place to strive to perfect their craft. A place where clients are made to feel like they belong and will be served with the utmost care and skill.
As you might have seen in previous post both Marlene and Bernice were there for me in dire straight taking care of me when I have events. They were both in charge of taking care of my hair during last year’s Malta Fashion Week and Awards. Their hair styling was beyond awesome (will leave some of the links here and here if you want to check them out). Speaking from my personal experience, the environment at the salon is that of sharing and collaborating. They build excitement with their clients which is key as that VERY energy builds them up for more achievements. Fast forward a year and when you realise that your dream has taken on a life of it’s own, you know it has become a reality.
Marlene and Bernice should really be proud of the incredible year they left behind them, which can only mean, that a super great years are waiting ahead for both of them.
For the 1st anniversary celebration they invited their clients and supporters, to celebrate with them this wonderful year and they treated us to share it together with flowing bubbly and delicious food. It was an awesome night and a privilege for me to have shared this event with them. The past year with them was great and I personally look forward to my next journey with them for this year’s Malta Fashion Week and Awards (well that’s the plan media pass issuance and all but regardless do watch this space as we will be up to something for sure) especially getting dolled up by last year’s Best Makeup Artist nominee, Marlene herself 🙂
From the bottom of my heart I want to wish both Marlene and Bernice many more years of success and achievements!
Special thanks also to Angel Haircare Co Ltd for the goody bag which I really cannot wait to try especially the organic conditioner 🙂
Now onto my outfit, hair and makeup details for the night. Of course I had to have my make up and hair done – both thanks to Marlene. Makeup for the night was done using mainly Makeup Factory products. We used foundation, setting powder, eyebrows, contour, highlight and mascara, whilst we used two 3INA products namely for the eye shadows we used the 102 palette and the new shade from the long wear liquid lipstick in 520.
