Hey there my lovelies,
Ahhh we made it … we are at the end of the RACE! Well if you do not know what the heck I am talking about then … STOP right here and go check out this post and then this link, because you my friend are missing out on one of the hottest locally produced Reality show that is bound to skyrocket!
If you have been watching all along then you know that the eleven contenders have been through very specific challenges in order to establish who will be the next Face of Gaetano to join in the other faces in the likes of Claudia Faniello, Miriano Conte and Joanne Farrugia.
We have seen them step out of the comfort zone to set themselves apart from the other contentants with particular contentants raising the bar every time making it difficult for the judges to actually elimate someone! The episodes of the reality show kept on edge looking forward to see what the contestants came out with.
Now that we are on the verge of the last few episodes I caught up with the final four finalists putting them on the spot and asking the questions that have been roaming around my mind!
So grab a drink and some snacks and enjoy the interviews!
Nicole Hammett
1. Is there a part of you that was not real in this show, in the sense that you hid something to move ahead?
I didn’t hide anything from anyone I like to be super honest about everything I do so no I didn’t hide anything !
2. In your opinion how much of it was real? Like, really?
It’s a reality show so everyone tried to be honest as possible even if sometimes it would be harsh.
3. Do you feel like having flawless ideas, hair and make-up was a struggle for you?
The makeup was one of my struggles as sometimes in certain challenges we had to do our makeup according to our runway in a few minutes and that was a struggle.
4. What’s the most dramatic thing that you had to do?
My favorite runway was very dramatic it was my facekini outfit I used for the hats runway theme.
5. What is the best perk of being in this show?
The best thing about everything is that I met new people and I made new friends.
6. Looking back at the journey, what advice would you give yourself to set yourself off from the other 3 finalists?
Always be yourself and never be afraid to let lose!
7. From the other 3 contestants who do you see as a direct competition for you?
Nadine because she has the most wins!
8. At this point who would you eliminate?
I would eliminate someone who I see isn’t doing the same amount of effort compared to the other contestants.
9. How far are you willing to go to WIN?
I’m willing to do anything that is thrown at me!
10. And finally, do you regret entering the reality show competition?
Not at all, my mum wanted me to enter and I just went to audition but I didn’t think I will pass as I have never modeled before and to have made it to the top four feels surreal and I’m super happy with the outcome.
MARIA CHRISTINA ATTARD
1. Is there a part of you that was not real in this show, in the sense that you hid something to move ahead?
In the show I was me 100%. I believe if you’re doing something or saying something which isn’t the real you, you’re not actually enjoying it and I enjoyed every bit of this competition!
2. In your opinion how much of it was real? Like, really?
It was a real competition with real challenges every week. It was hard as I didn’t expect it would be this long but I’m happy I made it this far.
3. Do you feel like having flawless ideas, hair and make-up was a struggle for you?
In this competition whatever I put out there and did like my makeup and hair was always done by me. I want to show what I’m capable of doing and push myself to do better.
4. What’s the most dramatic thing that you had to do?
The most dramatic thing that I had to do was definitely the play where we had to act and be in different characters. Though I think there was a bit of me there as well haha.
5. What is the best perk of being in this show?
The perk of being in the show is that I got to meet so many wonderful people and realize how talented everyone on their own may be. Also I got to learn about myself alot more and what I’m capable of.
6. Looking back at the journey, what advice would you give yourself to set yourself off from the other 3 finalists?
To never give and expect the unexpected. It’s hard when you’ve been working on something for a whole week or two and before you go out you see someone else’s maybe better because that can put off a person a lot and his confidence. So stick to your lane and don’t care what others did or don’t let it influence you.
7. From the other 3 contestants who do you see as a direct competition for you?
I’ve always said Nadine has a big potential and an amazing character. She works hard for what she wants and I admire that even though she’s a mother she gives it her all.
8. At this point who would you eliminate?
I don’t think i would eliminate anyone. It’s nice being top 4 and not top 3. More people meaning the harder the challenge.
9. How far are you willing to go to WIN?
In this competition I’ve shown how far i can go which led me to the top 4 so I’m not giving up now.
10. And finally, do you regret entering the reality show competition?
No I don’t regret it. I was the one who wanted to enter know-one forced me or gave me confidence to enter but i knew this is what I’m good at and working with Geatano was always amazing and exciting so I entered and don’t regret it!
KURT FARRUGIA
1. Is there a part of you that was not real in this show, in the sense that you hid something to move ahead?Definitely not, what you see is what you get. It is one of my principle life rules that I stay authentic and true as can be. I’m the kind of person that gives a 100% in everything I do and since most of the outfits were styled by myself except for 2, you got a 100% Kurt.
2. In your opinion how much of it was real? Like, really?
As stated in my previous answer I was authentic and I always went in there with the intention of showcasing my idea of that challenge for that day. Obviously filming takes hours and it is not possible to show everything so editing is the reality of a reality show.
3. Do you feel like having flawless ideas, hair and make-up was a struggle for you?
No, I am a very creative person and I see beauty and opportunity in every aspect of life.
4. What’s the most dramatic thing that you had to do?
For me the most dramatic thing was to visually transition and transform in the mighty Diva Cher.
5. What is the best perk of being in this show?
As of the writing of this blog we are still filming F.O.G so I can’t actually give you the final concrete answer. However while going through this educational experience I have met some amazing people, been featured in one of the islands most prominent designer perfumery campaign and been invited as a special guest on a popular local tv show.
6. Looking back at the journey, what advice would you give yourself to set yourself off from the other 3 finalists?
There are a few things I would tell to myself before embark on this journey.
- Trust no one
- Always hold a narrative of your story
- Make sure you have a good support system / team behind from the very beginning.
7. From the other 3 contestants who do you see as a direct competition for you?
Everybody has their own strong point but however if I had to choose one person that would be Nadine as she has a phenomenal support team behind her that showcases their creativity with every challenge.
8. At this point who would you eliminate?
I would have to say Nicole as the other 2 have kept a consistent level of standard throughout the competition.
9. How far are you willing to go to WIN?
As featured in the Diva episode I was in 6 inch heels , full Drag make-up , a tight dress and also a handmade newspaper wig that took me 3 days to be completed also to enhance my statement WATCH the FINAL episode.
10. And finally, do you regret entering for the reality show competition?
I don’t at all as it was a learning experience with a huge learning curve.

1. Is there a part of you that was not real in this show, in the sense that you hid something to move ahead?
I feel that I was my true self throughout the whole journey of the competition. Something that I really enjoyed about this reality show was the fact that Gaetano specifically told us to be ourselves. I feel that I was 100 % myself throughout all the episodes.
2. In your opinion how much of it was real? Like, really?
Filming, judging and the challenges all felt very real. From my experience, I felt that the comments given to me were very justified both the positive and negative feedback. Maybe certain challenges were meant to create some drama and to challenge the contestants in showing raw aspects of our character. It’s a reality show after all..and that’s how it felt to me.
3. Do you feel like having flawless ideas, hair and make-up was a struggle for you?
One of the biggest struggles for me was to keep reinventing myself and bringing something fresh to the table every episode, whilst still remaining authentic to who I am; especially after winning the first challenge in the first episode.
4. What’s the most dramatic thing that you had to do?
I think the most dramatic thing I did was my runway representing my alter ego, but also the outfits for Disney fashion and decade episodes, they where very much intended to create a show stopper.
5. What is the best perk of being in this show?
Things I consider as perks are things like; meeting like minded people and sharing such wonderful learning experiences together. The support from followers was a very good feeling. Showing my potential to the judges and getting their valuable feedback and support. Feeling that I was on the right track was awesome.
6. Looking back at the journey, what advice would you give yourself to set yourself off from the other 3 finalists?
I wouldn’t change much since I feel that I always gave my 100%. However, I would tell myself to learn the lyrics by heart of the songs given to us from before. I would also tell myself to never doubt myself or feel self-conscious, as I could see that I was still keeping back in some of the challenges.
7. From the other 3 contestants who do you see as a direct competition for you?
All feel that all the 3 contestants have their very strong points, but I find Maria to be my direct competition. She is both beautify and talented and has much to offer.
8. At this point who would you eliminate?
Sorry to disappoint, but I don’t have an answer to this question.
9. How far are you willing to go to WIN?
I am willing to keep pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone and do what it takes, as long as I remain true to myself and values. I will never put myself in situations where I do not respect myself and others, and to also remain professional in my approach.
10. And finally, do you regret entering for the reality show competition?
Without any shadow of doubt, I absolutely have NO REGRETS. This experience was so unexpected. I don’t think I really knew what I was signing up for in the beginning, in fact, I was the last one to turn up for the auditions as I was in two minds till the end, but I’m really grateful that I made the right decision.
So there you go the final 4 for the first ever season of Face of Geatano! They absolutely gave it their all and as we speak they are heading towards filming the FINAL episode of Season 1. Who do you think deserves to win … let us know in the poll xoxo
