Oscars #3 | The best of ‘The Oscars’

osc-banner_statuetteHey there lovelies,

Well here we are again, my 3rd year running post. I don’t know about you but I always always look forward for Oscar night, besides the show itself, which this year was a top-notch one, the most coveted red carpet brings out the A game from the nominees and attendees alike, and they truly pull out all the strings for this night.

Side note : OMG did you catch Lady Gaga’s performance … what a touching performance – hats off to this woman firstly for standing with Ke$ha in her ordeal and now for making sure we are aware of how rape is still a taboo and a problem in this day and age!

So, back to fashion and let’s get to my favourite looks of the night 🙂

Olivia Wilde in Valentino Haute Couture
My first statement choker sighting of the evening goes to Olivia Wilde. Oh my this Valentino dress is jaw dropping with that plunging neckline and pleated silk (aaaah) But the back is gosh – cannot find the right words!

Daisy Ridley in Chanel Couture (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens)
Newcomer Daisy Ridley didn’t just steal the show in the movie Star Wars she could possible have stolen the red carpet, too. But then again, who wouldn’t in one of most perfect Chanel Couture dress, ever!!!

Brie Larson in Gucci (Room)
I guess Brie Larson decided to go all out for the big night. This beautiful bright blue Gucci dress is a showstopper in my books and I totally fell in LOVE with the sheer paneling over the neckline, the ruffles that fall all the way down the skirt, and the silver belt that gives the dress the extra edgy look !!

Margot Robbie in DVF (The Big Short)
This dress quite possible resembles the award itself (yea it does right!) but I cannot deny that it is a stunning gold dress, which features long sleeves and a fully sequined silhouette and I think if anyone can pull it off its definitely Margot Robbie.

Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell
I love her just because she defies rules and because she brought a pantsuit to the red carpet and absolutely nailed it. Beautiful designed piece by her friend and longtime stylist, Brandon Maxwell, the structured top and perfect fitting trouser set the ultimately WOW factor that won me over.

Jennifer Garner in Versace
Jennifer Garner hit the red carpet in a strong and dramatic Versace gown. It’s black and I had to put in a black dress and this one in my mind is quite a statement piece.

Olivia Munn in Stella McCartney
My TOP MOST FAVOURITE dress from the red carpet … oh my this dress, I want it … very flattering, one-shouldered dress. Such a beautiful piece and the colour is AMAZING.

Jared Leto in custom Gucci
A first for me, but I had to give a shout out to Jared’s custom ensemble by Gucci’s, complete with floral pin (hands on cheek moment!!) A stylish moment not to be ignored.
